Western Region Interpretation Collaboration Sessions

Western Region Interpretation Collaboration Sessions

The Western region’s Interpretation Collaboration sessions are an opportunity for our community of interpreters to come together to learn from each other’s experience and expertise, and to be inspired by the stories we tell.

Our guest speaker for this session is Morrigan DeVito from the Red Rock Audubon Society in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are pleased to have a speaker from Clark County which forms part of the NAI's Western region.

Join Red Rock Audubon Society's Morrigan DeVito to learn about leading birding events and local bird conservation topics in Southern NV. Morrigan will provide some beginner's birding interpretive models and talk about the benefits of "slow birding" as a teaching methodology and mental health tool. Lastly, Morrigan will tell a few local bird conservation stories informed by the 2022 State of the Birds and showcase ways that people can help create a bird-friendly community in Las Vegas.
